Rounding the Horn was once a daring battle of man against the ocean. When we sailed around Cape Horn, the sea was rough and the winds were strong. This ship was too close to the rocky shore and the Chilean pilots that were on our ship were all a buzz trying to correct its course.

The waves made the ship bounce up and down as it made its way around one of the southernmost points of South America (the real southernmost point are the Diego Ramirez Islands). The ship was handing out motion sickness patches and pills all day and even ran out of ginger ale.

The day at sea went from sunshine to rainfall and fog, to choppy seas, then to a brilliant sunset we saw it all and loved every minute.
