Punta Del Este was a beautiful beach town in Uruguay. I can see why the high-rise condos that border the pristine beaches are world class.
Like all tourist we had to see “The Hand.” It is a work of art by Chilean artist Mario Irrazabal standing on the Brava Beach since the summer of 1982. It’s meant to be a warning of rough seas but for most visitors, it’s just a fun photo op.
Here is my perfect beach house. Notice each condo has it’s own infinity pool. Only problem is all the passerbys can see you swimming in your “private” pool.
Let’s talk about the best BBQ in town and maybe anywhere – and that’s saying a lot from a gal that lived in Texas for over 30 years. El Tonel cooks their meats and veggies over hot coals and it was delicous.
We ordered steaks for two and this is what we were served and we ate ALL of it.
