We saw one of five Rali Museums. This one can be found in Ponte Del Este. It was a beautiful building with indoor and outdoor exhibits.

We enjoyed looking at a fine collection of Latin America Art, all for free. There were sculptures by Fernando Botero and Salvador Dali. It was a lovely place to visit and I found some inspiration for a series of paintings I’d like to do.

One of the most unique places I ever been to was Casapueblo. It was built by Uruguayan artist, sculptor, architect, and writer Carlos Paez Vilaro. I confess I never hear of him but I left wanting to know more about this talented man.

Vilaro built Casapueblo by hand out of wood, white cement, and stucco. It’s also a Hotel. Wouldn’t it be fun to spend a night in this unique place.

It’s an enormous, bright organic structure perched on the side of a cliff. The inside is filled with displays of his life and works.
